Sources:The
seeds of Euphorbia lathyris L. Family Euphorbiaceae.
Constituents:Containing
fat oil, ingenol, 3-hexadecanoate, lathyrol, hydroxy- lathyrol,
and daphnetin, etc.
Actions:The fresh
herb was effective against acute lymphocytic, granuloc- ytic,mononucleocytic
and chronic granulocytic leukemic cell lines.The alcoholic
extract of herb, with 100mg/kg was effective against S180
and EAC murine trmors.
Indications:It
cold be used for treatment of esophageal and cardiac cancers.
Its composite prescription "Zi Jing-Ding":
Pseudobulbus Cremastrae seu 60g
Pleiones
Gallt Chinensis 60g
Radix Rnoxiae 45g
Semen Euphorbiae 30g
Moschus 9g
Cinnabaris 9g
Realgar 9g
They were ground into powder, mixed well,
in 50g each using 15g glutinous rice powder made of paste
and lozenge, each lozenge was 5g, once 0.5, b. i. d, administered
orally with warm water.
"Zi Nao-Sha" and composite
presciption "Zi Nao-Sha" were used for treatment
of 635 cases of esophageal and cardiac cancers, the results
showed that CR 2 , PR 2, MR 452 cases, the total effective
rate was 72.44%.
