Sources:The
root of Euphorbia kansui Liou Family Euphorbiaceae.
Constituents:
Containing triterpenoidis,a-euphorbol, tirucallol, ingenol,
euphadienol, etc.
Actions: The deproteinized
water solution of Radix Kansui when diluted with 5% glucose
and injected intravenously, showed that it was effective for
squamous carcinoma and caused acute necrosis of cancer cells.
Indications:Gan
Sui Gan Cao San for esophageal cancer: To take 0.33g powder
of Radix Kansui (which was wrapped in dough and was dried,
ground) mixed with 0.166g powder of Radix Glycyrrhizae for
oral administration with warm water, 3 times ,3 times a ady.
The drug was used for treatment of 12
cases in advanced esophageal cancer and showed that the symptoms
had improved in 9 cases, their survival period could reach
for 6~15 months.
