Sources:The
seeds of Dolichos lablab L. Family Leguminose.
Constituents:
Containing protein, amino acids, fat, saccharide, vitamins
and two kinds of non-specfic plant hemagglutinin.
Actions: Studies
in vitro showed that semen Dolichoris was effective in inhibiting
cancer cells growth. Test in vitro with plant hemagglutinin
indicat- ed that the herb was enable making the malignant
carcinocytes to emerge agglutinative reaction and oncocytic
superficial sturcture to alter, eventually to cytotoxic action.
In addition, plant hemagglutinin promoted the function of
lymphocyte, hence, reinforcing the immunity to cancer.
Indications:
The prescription of Sheng Di Bian Dou Tang was
composed with Radix Rehmanniae, Samen Lablab Album, Radix
Codonopsis , Radix
Astragali and Plastrum Testudinis.For treatment of gastric
carcinoma, hepatocarcinoma, nasopartyngeal carcinoma and rectal
carcinoma.
It was reported that Hua Shan Hospital
affiliated to Shanghai Medical College had examinated that
the IgA in 100 patients with malignannt tumor and found out
that the decoction ofSheng Di Bian Dou Tang could increase
the patien's cellular immunity. The decoction had been used
to treat 56 cases of malignant tumor, the effective rate was
53.6%.
