Constituents:
Containing dracorubin, dracorhosin, flavonoids, dracoalfan
etc.
Actions: The hot
water extract and the hot water-ethanol extrect of herb showed
a stronger inhibitory action on sarcoma-180 of mice.
Indications:
According to a report in Jounal of Peking Traditional
medicine (vil 5, 1990), Anticancer No.5 powder (composed mainly
of Resin Draconis and Radix Ginseng, Cornu Coruipantotichuni,
Placents Hominis, Moschus, Realgar, Flos carthami, Cornu Saiae
Taitaaricae, Borneolum Syntheicum, Endothelium Corneum Gigeriae
Gall, Hirudo, Calculus bouis, Semen Strychni, Radix Kansui,
Herba Daphenetae, Carapax Triongycis, Radix Aconiti, Squama
Manitis) was used for treatment of 110 cases of primary liver
carcinoma, once daily, 3 grams each time.
The results showed that 86 cases of the
hepatalgia was complete remission or reduced (78.2%), the
appetite increased in 95 cases (86.4%), hydroperitoneum eliminated
or decreased in 65/97 cases (67%), skin and icteric sclera
eliminated or reduced in 59/70 cases (84.3%) and the longest
survival period was 17.4 months , middle survival period was
7.4 months.
