rhizoma of Curcuma kwangsiensis S.G. Lee et C. F. Liang
Family Zingiberaceae.
Constituents:
Containing volatile oils, camphene, curcumol, zingberene,
cineole, canphor, borncol, curcumedol, b-sitosterol, phenol
principle,organi- c acid, resin, etc. protein.
Actions: Experiments
in vitro showed that b-sitosterol was effective again- st
WM, MS cancer cell lines, studies in vivo proved that the
hot water extract of Curcuma Kwangsinesis could inhibit S180
(ascites type) with an inhibitory rate of 61.7%.

Herba Agrimoniae 6
Fructus Aurantii 6
Radix Curcumae 6
Natrii Sulfas 6
Alumen 6
Faeces Trogopterori 5
Semen Strychni Preparata 4
Resina Toxicodendri 2
The above herbs were prepared according
to 6:6:6:6:6:5:4:2 proportions to making it into tablets (0.48g/tab)
4~8 tabs/once, three times a day, administered per qs for
3 consecutive months as one course, and it may be changed
the composition of the prescription used with decoction according
to the status of the patients.
The 180 cases of above cancer patiente
were treated, the total effective rate was 64.5%, among them,
22 cases of lung eancer, 6 cases survived over 15 years. In
addition, the composite prescription was also used to treat
15 kinds of lung and other cancer patiente 113 cases, the
results showed that it has certain efficacy against lung and
colon cancers.
