Sources:The
seeds or whole of Crotalaria assamica Benth. Family
Leguminosae.
Constituents:
Containing monocrotaline.
Actions:Monocrotaline
was effective against S180 and S37, with a dose of 150mg/kg.
d and 100mg/kg. d respectively intraperitoneally injected
for 10 days, the inhibitory rates were 57.2% and 75% respectively.
Monocrotal- ine also has an anticancer activety on ascite
type of lymphoma -L1 at the dose of 155mg/kg. d injected subcutaneously
for 10 days, the survival prolongating rate was 62.5%.
Indications:The
monocrotaline was used to treat 21 cases of skin and cevical
carcinoma, soon, 2 cases were PR, 1 case was MR.
In addition, the monocrotaline was used
to treat 25 cases of leukemia by intravenous injection, with
the effective rate of 56% ( the dose of intravenous injection
or drip was 100~200mg a day).
