Sources:The
root of Clemantis chinensis Osbeck Family Ranunculaceae.
Constituents:
Containing acemonin, amemonol, sitosterol, saponin and amino
acids, etc.
Actions: It was
effective against S180 sarcoma on mice. In vitro, its inhibiting
rate against U26 cancer cells was 50%~70% and was effective
against hela, Hep2 cell lines. Its water decoction(ip.) was
able to elevate pain threshold.
Indications:
It can be used for treatment of esophageal, parotid and colon
cancer patients. The composite prescription of the herb:Radix
Clematidis,Radix Isatidis, Herba Euphorbiae Lunulatae, Rhizoma
Arisaematis Preparata,its powder of extract (adding a small
amount of man-made calculus bovis artifactus, salammoniacl)was
administered orally, treated 300 cases of esophageal cancer
patients (most of them were unsurgery advanced cancer pancer
patients),the results showed that 33 cases were CR ,53 cases
were MR, 180 cases were stable, the total effective rate was
88.7%.
