Sources:The
stiff dead body of Bombyx mori Linnaeus Family Bombycidae.
Constituents:
Containing amino acids, protein, fat, ecdystereone, beauvercin,
peptides and vitamin A, B,E, etc.
Actions:The 50%
water-decoction of Bombyx Batryticatus was effective against
S180 tumor in vivo(0.2ml ig. daily), the inhibiting rate was
71.4%. The alcohol extract was effective against ECA (Solid
type), the inhibiting rate was 36%. The water extract of the
drug (0.5g/ml) could kill HL-60 cells in vitro.
Indications:
It can be used for treatment of malignant lymphoma, cerebral
tumor, vocal cords and urinary bladder cancer, etc.
(1)The ground powder of Bombyx Batryticatus
was administered (1.5g b.i.d orally by boiled water) for treatment
of malignant lymphoma.

The drugs were decocted in water for
oral administration. It has treated 13 cases of urinary bladder
cancer patients. The result showed that 2 cases were 1~2 years,
3 cases were 3~5 years, 4 cases were 5~ 10 years, 4 cases
were 10~16 years
