Sources:The
root of Astragalus membranaceus (Fisch.) Bge. Family
Leguminosae.
Constituents:
Containing Kaempferol, isorhamnetin, rhmanocition, formononentin,
calycosin, astragaloside I, II , III , sayasaponin, astragalan
I,II ,III etc.
Actions: The hot
water extract Radix Astragali has an inhibitory action against
S180, with a rate by 41.7%, astragalan could significantly
enhance the carbon clearance. In addition Radix Astragali
and its active principles could induce ibterferon (IF) and
enhanced NK cellular activity of human peripheral blood, as
well as the principle F could increase the activity of LAK
cells induced by IL-2.

Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae 9g
Porin 12g
Semen Coicis 30g
Radix Paeoniae Rubra 16g
Radix Paeoniae Alba 12g
Massa Medicata Fermentata 9g
Fructus Crataegi 12g
Fructus Aurantii Preparata 9g
Rhizoma Paridis 15g
Radix Resina Garciniae 30g
The above herbs were decocted for administration
one dosage daily and used to treat 30 cases of gastric carcinoma
after surgery (15 cases of stage II , 11 cases of stage III
, 4 cases of stage IV) The results showed that the survival
rate of l year was 90%(27/30), survival rate of 3 years was
63.3% (19/30) and survival rate of 5 years was 50%(15/30).
