Constituents: Containing Kaempferol, isorhamnetin, rhmanocition, formononentin, calycosin, astragaloside I, II , III , sayasaponin, astragalan I,II ,III etc.

Actions: The hot water extract Radix Astragali has an inhibitory action against S180, with a rate by 41.7%, astragalan could significantly enhance the carbon clearance. In addition Radix Astragali and its active principles could induce ibterferon (IF) and enhanced NK cellular activity of human peripheral blood, as well as the principle F could increase the activity of LAK cells induced by IL-2.

The above herbs were decocted for administration one dosage daily and used to treat 30 cases of gastric carcinoma after surgery (15 cases of stage II , 11 cases of stage III , 4 cases of stage IV) The results showed that the survival rate of l year was 90%(27/30), survival rate of 3 years was 63.3% (19/30) and survival rate of 5 years was 50%(15/30).
