Sources:The
seed of Astragalus complanatus R.Br. Family Leguminosae.
Constituents:
Containing flavonoidis such as myricetin and myricitrin .
Actions: The methanol
and ethanol extract of the drug at a dose of 5 and 10g/kg
could significantly increase the weight of thymus ang spleen
in mice, and it also could enhance the carbon clearance, as
well as the delayed hypersensitive reaction induced by T cell
could be enhanced. It's indicated that the drug could enhance
specific and unspcific immune function.

Semen Astragali Complanati 15g
Pseudobulbus Cremastrae seu 15g
Pleiones
Ramulus Taxilli 30g
Polyporus 30g
Herba Heayotis Diffusae 30g
(Add-subtract: short breath, asthenia,
dizziness, could increase the following herbs, Radix Codonpsis
15g, Radix Astragali 30g, Poria 30g and Fructus Ligustri Lucidi
30g.)
The above herbs were decocted for oral
administration one dosage daily and was used to treat 53 cases
of the carcinoma of urinary bladder which with electrocautery.
The results showed that 2 cases among them were completely
remission, 33 cases were remarkable efficacy, 11 cases were
efficacy and 7 cases was inefficacy, the total effective rate
was 86.8%.
The polysaccharide has been used for
treatment of primary liver cancer on 128 cases,the total effective
rate was 64.06%,the survival rate after one year was 33.67%.
