Sources:The
young plant without root of Artemisia capillaris Thunb.
Family Compositae.
Constituents:
Containing scoparone, chlorogenic acid, caffeic acid, volatile
oil, capillarin, etc.
Actions: The herb
has strong action against carcinogenic fungus and toxin. It
was able to inhibit aspergillus flavus, aspergillus flavus
B1 and dialister. All of the inhibitory rates were 100%. Hot
water extract and alcohol extract has inhibitory action against
ascitic S180 and the inhibitory rates were 21.6% and 18.5%.
Indications:It
was used for treatment of gastric, colonic, biliary duct,
bladder, pancreatic cancers and hepato carcinoma, etc.

Decoction of the herbs was taken divided
into two times once daily combined with other therapy to treat
7 cases of hepatocarcinoma. The clinical result showed that
2 cases of early patients were remarkable improvement and
other 4 cases of advanced patients died.
