leaves of Artemisia argyi Levl. et vant. (A. uulgar
L. var. uulgalissima Bass.; A. rungaris L. var. incana Maxim.)
Family Compositae.
Constituents:
Containing volatile oil, cineole, aenine, choline, vitamin,
phellandrene, etc.
Actions: In bean
sprouts test showed that the herb has inhibiting cell growth
action. In bacteriophage indugcing test showed that the herb
has anti-phage effect. Moxibustio (moxa-preparation of the
herb) has inhibiting action against S180, the inhibitory rates
were 44.65%~54%.
Indications:It
was used for treatment of gastric, breast, lung, intestinal
cancers, thyroid adenocarcinoma, lymphome, etc.

Bulbus Allii 20 pieces
Radix Stemonae 12g
Fructus Chaenomelis 12g
Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae 10g
Radix Sophorae TonRinensis 10g
Nidus Vespae 10g
Scorpio 10g
Rhizoma Zingiberis Recens 10g
Concha Arcae 30g
Radix Glycyrrhizae 3g
The decoction of the herbs was taken
once daily to treat 60 cases of lung cancer including stage
II 31 cases and stage III 29 cases. Total effective rate of
the 31 cases was 74.2% (remarkable effect 5 cases, effectiveness
18 cases) and total effective rate of the 29 cases was 65.6%
(remarkable effect 3 cases and effectiveness 16 cases).
