Sources:The
skin of root and stem of Aralia chinensis L. Family
Araliaceae.
Constituents:
Containing araloside A, B, tannin,choline, volatile oils,
etc.
Actions: Studies
in vitro showed that the water extract of herb had cytotoxical
effect on esophageal cell line and tests in vivo indicated
that it was effective against SAK, HepS, EAC, s180, and U14
murine tumors.

prescription for gastric carcinoma:
Radix Actinidiae Chinensis 90g
Cortex Araliae Chinensis 30g
Herba Chelidonii 30g
Semen Coicis 30g
Cortex Acanthopanacis 30g
Rhizoma Sparganii 9g
Rhizoma Curcumae 9g
The above herbs were decocted for oral
administration daily and used to treat gastric carcinoma of
50 cases with surgery therapy.
The results showed that remarkable efficacy
in 6 cases, effeicacy in 20 cases, inefficacy in 24 cases,
the total effective rate was 52%.
