dried body of Allolbophora caliginosa trapezoides (Duges)
Family Megascolecidae.
Constituents:
Containing lumbritin, terrestrolumbrolysin, lumbrofebrine,
succinic acid, arachidonic acid, xanthine, hypoxanthine, adenine,
choline, guanidine and 15 kinds of amino acid, such as glutamic
acid, tyrosine, lysi- ne, leucine, alanine, phospholipid,
cholesterol, fatty acid, etc. In addition, it contains abundant
of trace elements, xanthos and enzymes.
Actions: The extract
of lumbricus was effective against S180 (2mg, ip, once a day
for 5~8days), the inhibiting rates were 53.8%~86%, and against
S180 and H22(0.5,p1,p2mg, ig, once a day for 6 days),the inhibiting
rates were 81.3%, 90.0%,93.0% dnd 58.6%, 65.9%, 57.0%.
Indications:It
was used for treatment of esophageal, nasopharyngeal and lung
cancers. The extract of lumbricus was used for treatment of
93 cases of esophageal, nasopharyngeal and lung cancers (300mg,
orally, once a day for 2 months) combining with radiotherapy,
the CR rate was 34.4%, PR rate was 57.0%, the total effective
rate was 91.4%. The result was superior markedly than radiotherapy
alone and showed the extract have a radiosensitizing action.
The advanced patients of esophageal cancer had been treated
with the extract of lumbricus orally alone, the stable rate
was 42.9%.
