tuber of Alisma orientale (Sam.) Juzep. Family Alismataceae.
Constituents:
Containing alisol A, epialisol A, alismin, etc.
Actions:In vitro
fluorescent microscopy observation confirmed that the herb
has a action against leukocytosis, its anti-leukemia index
was 60.8%. Alismin has remarkable effect than in normal mice.
In vivo test showed that the preparation of the herb was able
to prolong survival time of the mice bearing tumor.

Radix Scutellariae 10g
Fructus Gardeniae 10g
Caulis ARbiae 10g
Radix Angelicae Sinensis 10g
Radix Rehmanniae 10g
Radix Bupleuri 10g
Polypoyus 10g
Caulis Spatholobi 30g
Radix Saluiae Miltriorrhizae 30g
Decoction of the herbs was taken once
daily, divided into 2 times to treat 26 cases of leukemia
(partial cases combined with intermittent chemotherapy). The
clinical result showed that CR, PR and NC were in 14, 10 and
2 cases respectively, the total response rate was 92.3%, the
patients survived for more than 1 and 2 years were 13 and
3 cases.
